After a busy day of some much needed retail therapy I still hadn't taken a picture yet. So I went out and took a bazillion of the sun setting behind the fence. Exciting stuff isn't it? Sigh...
A picture a day for one year. Throughout this journey I hope to grow into the photographer I want to become and learn along the way.

Day 59
I spent several hours playing with the camera today so I had a hard time choosing a photo for the day. This was set up using white foam board for reflection and a remote shutter release.

Day 58
It must be the weather but I am baking up a storm lately! Tonight was Garden Ranch Pizza. Yum!

Day 57
I love road trip days! Today we ventured out to Idaho City for some rustic scenery. This is one of many photos I have to sort through and touch up. This particular shot is from the old cemetery. It is a baby cradle fence for an infants grave. Many of the graves in this area are unmarked sadly.

Day 56
I drive by a farmer's fruit and veggie stand every day taking my daughter to school and keeping meaning to stop. Today finally stopped to pick up some organic peaches. I am terrible at baking but I recently got a recipe from my mom for quick easy cobbler. So easy even I could do it! Man it was good!

Day 55
I haven't been feeling the best about myself the past few days. So I thought I would take a picture of something I like about myself. I have this line of beauty marks on my chest that form almost a complete necklace. I've kind of grown fond of them over the years. The little sparkles you see are in fact, body glitter. :)

Day 54
I was not feeling very inspired today. Many many photos were taken and quickly deleted. This is the mirror in the entry way of my house. The opposite side hangs a wall bucket with fake flowers.

Day 53
I went out to take a picture of boring old clouds today and found this little guy in the backyard. I cheated a little and moved him via a leaf over about a foot for a better photo op. I know that probably breaks some sort of rule.

Day 52
I was being a sissy taking these not wanting to get my knees wet in the soppy grass so the angle is kind of different. All the rain has made for perfect conditions for these guys in our yard.

Day 51
What a day! Went to a company picnic with my husband and made the silly decision to leave my SLR at home. I was mad at myself as soon as we got there. So I tried to make due with my point and shoot UNTIL my memory card freaked out and wiped all my pictures. After that I wasn't able to take anything. Never had that happen before. When we got home I walked down to the neighborhood park to take pictures of all the rain we got. Kind of a dreary day.

Day 50
Today I was brave/stupid enough to walk with 12,000 other women in Idaho for the Women's Fitness Celebration. It has hardly rained all summer and sure enough today it poured. We were all cold and soaked by the time it was done. It was straight to IHOP for us after for some warm drinks and food. Sure enough it had stopped raining by then....sigh. All the rest of the pictures from the set were taken with my point and shoot. I wasn't brave enough to pack the SLR in the weather.
Day 49
My biggest complaint in shopping for a camera bag was that they were all very bland and dare I say "manly" looking. So my quest begin. After some searching online I found someone who custom made feminine camera bags. I got my order today! It is a little bigger than I thought at first so I will probably still keep my Lowepro sling for outdoor trips but this will be great for holding everything. Plus it came with a custom camera strap to match. Bag from TracyRenae Designs

Day 48
Our poor little tree we planted earlier this year in the back yard never really got all its leaves. But still they are already starting to turn. This is my first assignment for my new Photoshop class I am taking. I used a Gaussian Blur and Pin Light blend mode.

Day 46
This is a clock I made for my scrapbooking room. You buy the case and the clock hands then get to add the numbers and design.

Day 45
I have been wanting a Wii Fit for awhile but every time I looked at the stores they were sold out. I searched online to find the same problem today. So I decided to go out and hunt. I was surprised by the first store I checked had 4 in stock so I snatched it up. I photoshopped this obviously because I thought a picture of a white board was rather boring.

Day 43
Day 42
I took a quick walk from my Aunt's House in Las Vegas to get a closer look at these flowers. They grew as high as my head and were very coloful. I forgot to reset the ISO from the previous nights picture so they are a little more grainy than I would have liked.
Day 41
This is the view from the New York New York hotel in Las Vegas. This is a horrible picture with too much noise and taken through the glass but it was the only one I had time to do that day.

Day 40
Drove from Idaho to Las Vegas today. It rained off an on for the trip which didn't make for great photo ops. Just the laptop with me so no Photoshop. I almost didn't upload a picture today because I'm so ready for bed. Tomorrow is my grandfather's funeral so I may be offline for a few days.

Day 38
My wedding ring/engagement ring. We never got an actual wedding band because I couldn't find anything I liked to match it at the time. Someday I really would like one...hint....hint...

Day 37
Chocolate or Vanilla? Happy Birthday to my little brother who is turning 20! I also decided to enter this photo in the Delectable contest at JPG Magazine.

Day 35
I found out this morning that my Grandpa passed away. I'm heartbroken not only for myself but my father and my family. Taking a 365 picture seemed trivial today. The only thing I could think of would be to honor him and his woodwork. This is the plant stand I have sitting in my living room. It was made by my grandfather from an antique table many years ago. It has survived several moves and still is timeless in its design.

Day 34
Today while showing some of my recent photos to the photographer I am taking lessons from I asked if I could shoot his car. Thankfully he came out and gave me some tips which helped to get this shot.

Day 33
The sprinkler had just got done in the back yard this morning which left our bushes dripping with the perfect photo opportunity.

Day 32
I took my daughter outside with the bubble machine and lots of other bubble toys today. The bubble machine made for some great shots. I am pretty happy with how the pictures came out as I have the hardest time with skin tones. I can't wait to scrapbook these!

Day 31
This is a lampshade at my Dad's house that is next to a mirror. I like the depth of field for this shot.
