Finally got my first weeks lesson completed for my class. This is one of the shots I am submitting. I have a feeling they will say the depth of field is too shallow but I was hand holding and it was the best I could do without the tripod. This is also my very first attempt with my new reversing ring from Nikon. I attached it to my 50mm and suddenly I have a pseudo macro lens!

That's one ominous looking pine cone...lol. I think the limited depth of field contributes to that kinda cool effect.
PS I swear that pine cone looks like it's just about to devour Albuquerque
