I told my daughter the one thing I really wanted for Mother's Day was her to sit nice for a picture for me. Darn it all to heck that I had to mess it up on the soft focus. She barely sat still long enough for me to do this so I didn't have much time to check settings. This just reaffirmed to me that I am no way a portrait photographer let alone a childrens photographer.

She is SO cute. It's still a nice pic even without the soft focus. It amazes me how her eyes jump out even though it's not a close up of her face - that's awesome.
I have a hilarious series of my two from today: I asked them to sit on a park bench for me. They smiled and hugged each other, but for ONE SHOT ONLY. After that I got bored pouty expressions, slumping shoulders, wrinkled noses, you name it. sigh. lol

Ohhh Hush...lol
Very nice photo + you have already taken MANY dandies of your daughter + yourself + your husband + you most likely haven't practiced extensively on portraits as of yet. So that would make for a pretty infirm reaffirm.
I rest da case
; - )
PS unless of course you just don't like the hassles of portrait photography,Cel.
Understandable if so. But you have da talent for it.
Thank you both! Hal - I do not have the patience or interest in portrait photography as of now. I will stick with what I love, stuff that doesn't move much and I can make it do what I want. :)
Gotcha,Cel. Understood. :)
