This is what happens when I suddenly find myself child-free for the next 24 hours. I have time to play. When I saw today's FGR group was Grimm's Fairy Tales I knew I had to give it a go. I had the perfect old Halloween costume sitting in the garage that hadn't been worn since my pre-mommy years.

I did not take a set up shot because you all would have laughed me right out of here they way I had to rig it all up. Ultimately I ended up using the Ray Flash Ring on camera attached to the SB900 and had the SB600 camera right bounced off the ceiling.

I really wish Spring would hurry up. I am so tired of looking at all the brown, dead outside world. I rushed taking a shot yesterday so this was the best I could do (and I'm a day late uploading it). Some days my 365 shots are going to be crap, even with a new camera.

This is how other sees me when I don't smile. Dark and gloomy. Inside I admittedly feel about the same lately. I have built this shell around myself that I am trying to break away slowly. In hindsight I can see the pattern emerging from past winters. I really can't wait for Spring.

Most people don't know that I have a tattoo hidden on my right shoulder. I got it just after turning 18. I regret not thinking it through a little better. I like have a tattoo I just wish I would have thought about the meaning instead of just picking something out of a book to copy. My next one will be more meaningful and probably designed by me to be more special.

For the Flickr group, FGR's, daily challenge "The 80's" I used a hell of a lot of hairspray and just could not get the poof. They just don't make that stuff like they used to.

I looked a little silly trying to get this shot but in my opinion, it worked. I couldn't get a self portrait I liked with the self timer so I decided to hand hold the camera and lay on the couch for a nice neutral background. I am actually really happy with how the light turned out - dorky or not.
