Today I went with something very different from my normal style. If I even have a style yet that is. This is a rainbow reflection on my wall coming off a mirror. Add a heavy Photoshop filter and suddenly you have a whole different image.
A picture a day for one year. Throughout this journey I hope to grow into the photographer I want to become and learn along the way.

Day 120
I wouldn't dare waste alcohol for a shot so this is cranberry juice which made a nice sticky mess on my floor when I attempted to capture the ice cubes plunking in. In the end, I liked this shot better because of the reflection captured in the background.

Day 119
Yes, I am one of those silly people that gets up at some unthinkable time to freeze in line at the stores. My mother in law and I were at the mall by 4:10am this morning. I was back home and in bed by 9:30am. Then after a nap went out for a little bit more. So tired... but it is only once a year and totally worth it. My wallet is always bulging to begin with but now I can't seem to close it.

Day 118 - Happy Thanksgiving!
So many things to be thankful for this year:
-I didn't ruin the turkey
-We can afford to have food on the table and a house to live in
-My husband still has a job during these hard times
-My family and friends
-My camera
-A loving home

Day 117
Shall we start taking bets? Woke up this morning to check on the turkey in the fridge which should have been thawed. It wasn't. Put turkey in sink of water and covered to prevent cat from eating turkey. Go back to check on turkey hours later and found no water left in the sink. Sigh....

Day 116
The birthday girl testing out her new guitar. She was such a trooper today at the Dr. for her well visit. No tears even after 3 shots.

Day 115
Today was the day I almost threw in the towel on Project 365. Lately I have been underwhelmed with my shots and am lacking the motivation to work on them. With the holidays coming things are only going to get more crazy.
This is one of the pink flowers my daughter got for her birthday yesterday from her Papa. The background is my pop-up reflector. I kind of whipped this all together as I was in the middle of making dinner.
Day 114
My one and only decent shot from the entire evening. Being party host and photographer didn't work well at all for me. Combine that with a very excited little girl who wanted nothing to do with looking at the camera. My house is also dark as a cave in the evenings so low light was a big problem.

Day 111
One of the biggest dilemmas as a mother is exactly how much artwork to save. Every day my daughter comes home with new projects from school. I hate having to just throw them out but you can only have so many finger paintings or masks, you know? So I go through them every so often and keep the special ones in her keepsake box. The rest, well...go to that special other place.
This shot is my first time using "off-camera flash" and my new sync cord.

Day 110
Another frosty morning. No I am not dumb enough to climb on the roof I just opened the window and took off the screen. Our back windows overlook part of the roof. This is my favorite of all the shots I took.

Day 108
My gaming keyboard. After I shot this I think I should have shut off the monitor because it was reflecting a little on the keys but I'm too lazy to redo it.
Day 107
This is the brick around my fireplace. The sun is setting and casting a nice warm glow on it. The shadows are from the fireplace screen.

Day 105
This is actually denture cleaner in a glass. Why do I have such a product? Well it works for cleaning my totally hot night guard that protects my teeth from my nightly teeth-grinding habits. Yes, I've stumbled to new lows in my 365 project today.

Day 104
A big day today if you are a WOW player. I pre-ordered out household copies online to pick them up then like the fickle girl I am decided to change to the collector's edition today. And now please excuse me while I go redeem my code for pet biscuits.

Day 103
Another great sunset tonight. I was so excited when I looked out my living room and quickly went to get my camera. The lines of light at the bottom are car lights. I've been using my GorillaPod a lot more lately instead of my tripod. For the sunsets I can quickly set it up on top of the BBQ- works perfect!

Day 102
Today after some retail therapy I decided to hit Carl's Jr and was promptly cut off by a man holding a sensor instrument and told that they were evacuating. So thinking it was only a small area affected I went to the next restaurant and ate. Slowly the smell became more overpowering and as we were going back to the car it really hit me. So many things wrong with this photo but I only had my point and shoot and the smell was horribly strong and I just wanted to get out. This is one of the busiest streets in the area to try and shut down. You can imagine the mess I ran into trying to leave. By far the least interesting photo but a good representation of the day.

Day 101
One of the things I love about our house is the view in the evenings. We have farmland behind us that opens up to this. Someday more will be built there but until then I will enjoy it.

Day 100
I was hoping for something a little more spectacular for my 100th day but this will have to do. Not nearly as sharp as I would like it to be as I was shooting in the breeze but the day got away from me and I ran out of daylight before I was able to try again.
Day 99
Dinner at the Grandparents always means play time for our daughter. She loves these Lincoln Logs.

Day 97
I have a feeling I am going to be looking for random things in my craft room a lot this winter for my 365 project.

Day 96
This is one of the rocks I have sprinkled through my flower beds. I found it while visiting my mom in Oregon on an old road. Part of a boulder had fallen down and broke apart to reveal this beautiful marble design.

Day 95
Got this message on my cellphone today shortly before going to vote. I barely made it to vote today and didn't think I was going to be able to. I hadn't gotten my driver's license changed since moving from VA to ID. Long story short I finally went and took the written test to get it today. I'm glad I did. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to register to vote either.

Day 94
The chill of Fall is starting to hit the air. What a great reason to have a cup of tea. I love my tea ultra sweet both hot and cold. I really should have been a southern gal.

Day 93
This wet leaf on the cement caught my attention today. You can faintly see the tire marks where it was run over by the car.
