When we were over at my parents house for a BBQ today I took my camera in the backyard to look for today's shot. My Dad told me that the plum tree had lots of green plums started on it which was originally what I was going to shoot then I saw this little ladybug in a big hurry. If you look close you can see the aphids she is after. Dad: you have an aphid problem on your tree!

Today for Earth Day I took my daughter to the MK Nature Center here in town. They have lots of little habitats for birds and fish as well as educational information for the public. It was a beautiful day to get out too!

This shot is not entirely sharp but loved the way the light was hitting this leaf. When I got home and saw it on the computer I realize there was a teeny tiny bug resting on top of it.

This is one of the rocks I have sprinkled through my flower beds. I found it while visiting my mom in Oregon on an old road. Part of a boulder had fallen down and broke apart to reveal this beautiful marble design.

This wet leaf on the cement caught my attention today. You can faintly see the tire marks where it was run over by the car.

Brrrrr! I frosted my toes and fingers outside first thing this morning before the fog burnt off. But I am sure glad I did!

Our poor little tree we planted earlier this year in the back yard never really got all its leaves. But still they are already starting to turn. This is my first assignment for my new Photoshop class I am taking. I used a Gaussian Blur and Pin Light blend mode.
